New To-Do
If I'm embedding this correctly, you should see a video that prompted me to say this morning, I need to go to a hot-air balloon festival.
(And if I didn't do it right, you can see it here.)
There used to be hot air balloon "races" when I was a kid and I would watch them from the front yard. It was so exciting! The DQ balloon was shaped like an ice cream cone. I have always wanted to ride in a hot air balloon and I really hope I can one day.
I was going to do it on a trip once and the wind was too high, so we couldn't go. I'm not that fond of heights, but my parents took one years ago (in Africa, if you can believe it) and she said it felt very safe, so I want to try it.
Cool! I have a cousin who lives in Reno and a year or two ago one of the hot air balloons landed in her yard, to her delight (with a bit of an oops on the balloonist's part.)
I worked in Steamboat Springs, CO the summer between my sophomore and junior years of college and they had a hot air balloon festival every July. It was very very cool!

DeleteI would really love to go to a hot air balloon festival, as well. There's one near me TOMORROW. I'm adding it to the list of things to do.
ReplyDeleteI hope you go! I want to hear how it is. There's supposed to be one near me in September.
DeleteI've always found hot air balloons fascinating. I don't think I'd ever go up in one, but I love to look at them.
ReplyDeleteI would be willing to try it, but honestly I would also love to watch them!

ReplyDeleteMy goodness! That would be a surprise.
