A Look Back at Christmas Travel

I realized that I haven't posted any of the photos I took over Christmas, and while most of them would hardly interest anyone outside the family, there are a few that are more generally share-worthy, I believe. Such as this, which I saw as I was running one last errand before I left town:

Now that's getting into the season!

Then I frantically grabbed my camera to capture this, in line getting gas on the Mass Pike:

Who exactly is driving?

And the deer in the neighbor's yard that mysteriously sprouted a Santa hat one night:

A bridge that I thought looked neat:

Even blurred by motion, you can see this was some tree, right?

And, on a vehicle in NY, with NY plates, see the sticker* in the rear window?

There really are Red Sox fans everywhere.

*Curse backwards means reverse the curse. In Red Sox lore, the team was cursed when Babe Ruth was traded, which is why they didn't win the World Series for so long. If you believe such things. There's even a story about a "Reverse Curve" sign in Boston, and a graffiti artist:

In conclusion, may I just say, winter wonderland:

The stuff is so much prettier to look at than to deal with, but pretty nonetheless.

My dad is doing okay for now. Thanks for the well-wishes: you got my back, I got yours.
