The time change in the spring is always harder on me, but I don't like the one in the fall, either. I feel discombobulated all day, making me think of what Douglas Adams wrote:
I would absolutely vote to stop changing the time at all. I don't personally care which way, but I have read that scientists suggest staying with Standard time would be better for people, and that would be fine with me. Just stop making me change all the clocks, and stop messing with my routines.
It's also been grey and stormy today:
And the humidity is back, hard. We got a break from that two weeks ago, where we could have our windows open and enjoy the fresh air, but it's back to being a swamp. Unpleasant. Not a fan.
There's also the nameless dread of the upcoming election. At least the ads will stop, and the mailers ... but what will the results be, and what happens next? I can't help worrying, even though I have voted and that's all I can do for now.
Something that I would not have been complaining about before this year, but the fan-fiction site AO3 is down, and is expected to be so for a few weeks. I had never read fan fiction before Heated Rivalry, but I have read a ton of it this year, and I feel like an addict whose source was taken away. Thanks to Threads, I at least know I am not alone in this feeling. We are woeful.
Hmm, what else. Remember me mentioning that I did something to my left elbow? I went in yesterday to get it checked out, since it wasn't getting better, and it turns out I have tennis elbow. So, not super-serious, and good to know, but exercises and time and the only answers for now.
