Audible? Are You Okay?

I got an email from Audible with my recent listening stats, and it shows that these are my most-listened-to titles, which is accurate.

(I listen to audio books to fall asleep, so I tend to listen to the same ones a lot, because I know them well enough that the need to follow the plot won't keep me awake.)

However! It then goes on to suggest these titles for me:

What on earth?

I am perplexed.

  1. Perhaps they get a kick back for recommending those titles or they have too many copies of them?

  2. HAHAHAHAHA! Maybe Audible know that you listen to books to fall asleep and thought that maybe autobiographies of old white men would also fall into the "Books to fall asleep to" category?

    1. Ha, true! I think they would put me to sleep. But not in a good way!

  3. Hahaha that reminds me of when I get notifications for Netflix "Nicole, here's something you might like" and basically it's the guys' choices that somehow mess up my algorithm. No, Netflix, I do not want to watch that Japanese anime or documentary about wrestling.

  4. Ha! I get so many recommendations for self-help books. Why would you suggest that to me, Amazon?! Why?

    1. Yeah, it seems a little rude, doesn't it? Like, what are they trying to tell us?

  5. Wow. Something is definitely Not Right there. Either that, or Audible has a sense of humour.

    1. I don't imagine them having that much of a sense of humor, but who knows?

  6. That guy in the middle promised he'd be back and he's trying so hard to keep his word.
