Who's In Charge

Scene: me on the loveseat, Maggie on the coffee table. She stares at me meaningfully.

Me: Do you want to get under the blanket? (holds up blanket)

Maggie: (looks at it, looks away)

Me: The nice blanket you love to sleep under? (holds up blanket)

Maggie: (stares at me meaningfully)

Me: Or on top of it? That's good too. (smooths out blanket)

Maggie: Hmmm. (steps over onto blanket)

Me: That's right! You ... wait, what are you...

Maggie: (pokes at blanket to see how to get under it)

Me: (lifts up end of blanket)

Maggie: (goes under the blanket and snuggles down)

Me: Well. Okay then. We know whose idea that was.
