I love that table! (I assume the weight of the buckets pulling down on the ropes is greater than the weight of the table.)
ReplyDeleteActually, no, the weight (force)of the buckets pushing down on the table top is the same as the force of the rope pulling up on the table. It's a fairly simple static freebody diagram. Since nothing is in motion, the up forces must equal the down forces. --Karen in Michigan, who has 3 cats and is a long time Red Wings fan.
