Let the record show that I turned the heat on this morning.
Despite yesterday morning's low, we didn't have the heat on yesterday. It was cooler in the house than we normally keep it, but not that bad. This morning when I got up, it was lower still, though, and when it went down another degree, I gave in. There are limits to how many layers I will wear.
Mid-afternoon, I turned it off, and we'll see what the temp does this evening and overnight.
Newman says we'll get through it together.

I've been turning on my fireplace to keep my cat comfy and because she loves to lie in front of it and stare at the flames. It's all about her!
ReplyDeleteAs it should be!
DeleteWe haven't had to use heat yet, it's been an unseasonably warm November so far, but we're getting a rain storm, so I am expecting the temps to drop.
ReplyDeleteI’m dreading putting on the heat. I love the shoulder seasons when we don’t need the a/c or the heat. I live in the same area as San, though, so it will definitely rain. I hope it’s not cold enough for the heater. I put on a robe and slippers, like a sensible person, but not everyone around here does.
ReplyDeleteI do layer up, but given how often I have to go to the bathroom, I don't want too many layers on, because that gets annoying.
DeleteThis IS chilly! We'll be going down to the mid-40s at night next week, but not yet. We're kind of easing into it with a major storm hitting tonight and falling temps. It was 79 yesterday.
ReplyDeleteThat is way too cold for where you are. I hope you have at least one heating pad. I cannot endorse them (especially the huge ones) strongly enough. I have three.
ReplyDeleteHeated mattress pad! I've had one for years, and yes brought it to Florida with me. Otherwise, there are soft blankets EVERYWHERE.
DeleteHave you ever seen an iguana fall yourself? What would/did you do?!
ReplyDeleteI have not seen one fall myself, but there were multiple local photos online showing them on the ground. If I did see one, I would probably creep close enough to get good photos, then strategically retreat to whatever felt like a safe distance to turn my back on.
DeleteNewman will keep you warm! 😻
ReplyDeleteYou have your feline lap heater, Newman!
