For some reason, this YouTube video had a link to share, but not an embed the way they usually do. But if I can convince you to click over, it's a couple of guys doing an absolutely amazing feat of memory, reciting the names of countries around the world, to music.
My mind is blown; even though I do find things easier to remember if set to music (thank you, Schoolhouse Rock, for my knowing the preamble to the Constitution), I simply can't imagine doing that. Could you?
How cool!
ReplyDelete(Although, did you notice they listed Puerto Rico as a sovereign country?)
ReplyDeleteAs a former French teacher, I'll verify that music and songs are an excellent mnemonic device!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree!
DeleteLong time reader, first time commenter. I must be quite a bit older than y'all. That song is Yakko's World from Animaniacs. Originally aired in 1993. https://animaniacs.fandom.com/wiki/Yakko%27s_World_(song).
ReplyDeleteIt's probably a bit out of date now being 30 years old.
Thank you for this! I am actually older than Animaniacs, so I never saw the show, but this is way cool and I'm glad to have seen it now.
