I went apple picking with friends today, and, well, I came home with a bag of 19 pounds of apples. I wanted a lot so I can make plenty of applesauce, but I may have overdone it.
Still, it was a fun way to spend the day, and the applesauce will be good all winter.
It's a good thing I don't have to make it tonight, though. I wouldn't want to lift my arms for that long.
It was surprisingly tiring, all that fresh air and heavy lifting. The three of us adults were all wiped out after, and ready for a nap.
The kids, of course, weren't noticeably tired. I'm convinced that children have so much energy because they siphon it from nearby adults. It would explain a lot.
