Bugging Out

Yeah, that's a big hurricane heading this way, isn't it? Damn you, Milton

Mom and I head for the east coast tomorrow: after much (much, much) searching, I found a room there to take us and our furry friend. We're supposed to get 4 to 7 feet of storm surge, and I'm just not confident the power won't go out. No, thank you!

I haven't given up all hope of my trip this weekend; I changed my flights from Thursday to Friday, and my fingers remain crossed.

If you are the praying kind, we would appreciate prayers that it passes quickly and doesn't do too much damage. And that we don't get any more this hurricane season!

  1. Sending prayers your way. This hurricane season has been freakish! My sister in law is in Tampa, and according to my husband staying put. I would have thought after riding out Irma she would have learned her lesson; but here we are.

    1. I left it too late--not so late that I didn't find a room, obviously, but it took a few hours and was VERY stressful.

  3. I *am* the praying kind and praying for you and other friends I know in Florida. What a horrible time for Floridians; I hope the storm miraculously calms down, but I'm glad you and your mother are able to get away to a safer spot. That seems very wise.
