A Brief Interlude to Say, Ten! Years!

Ten years ago, on August 9th, I did this:
Ten years, and 2700 posts later, here we are. Isn't that nuts? In fact, I don't know which number surprises me more. But whether you have been here since then (hi mom!) or just showed up this week, thanks for reading.

    Frankly, I don't remember how I found you. It probably was CAP. But I've continued reading and wishing you well, and will continue to do so for as long as you continue.

    I follow Laurie on Twitter (on those rare occasions I go on) and she seems to be doing well; traveling to Europe and occasionally showing pictures of Frankie and the male cat (not Roy, may he rest in peace). Since Sobakawa never shows up I guess she's gone beyond to keep Roy company. Do you remember his name? Is it Fred?

    Happy Blogiversary! I have no memory of when I started reading your blog, but I do remember briefly meeting you (and babbling nervously at you) at a Common Cod Fiber Guild meeting years ago.
