- I am hopefully getting my covid vaccine tomorrow! I say hopefully because I don't want to jinx myself, but I do have an appointment, and while I am under 65, obesity is a comorbid condition that supposedly will let me get it. I read that my health insurance is going to cover it, too, but I'll pay for it if I have to. (If you haven't seen that news, while health insurance providers usually let government decisions guide what they will and won't cover, in this case they apparently feel that the cost of the shots is less than the cost of treatment would be.) Due to the uncertainty, and living in a sadly red state, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get it here, and was going to try getting it when I'm in NY next month (fingers crossed, knock wood, no hurricanes), but maybe I can get it before the trip, which is definitely preferable. (I got my flu shot last week, woo hoo).
Update to the update: I got the shot! They didn't ask anything about comorbid conditions or anything, and insurance covered it. Phew! - I somehow can't believe it's October next week and simultaneously can't believe it isn't October yet. Aren't humans funny about time? I have to start my packing-prep soon: it's less than two weeks away now. Yay! Soon-to-be-happy-birthday-to-me!
- The comments on the skirt post helped me do what needed to be done, thank you. Here is a somewhat (unintentionally) creepy photo of the skirt, in a bag of items to be donated.
I guess I don't have a 4. Do you?
I was prepared to pay a nominal amount for my COVID vaccine...until they informed me it would be $112!!! I need to call my insurance because I am not paying a ridiculous amount of money for my insurance for my vaccines to not be covered (I just got hit with a $283 bill for the pneumonia vaccine I got at the the doctor's office too! Lesson learned, ask for the cost before agreeing to anyting...even at the doctor's office!)
ReplyDeleteThat skirt is lovely, I’m guessing that someone will love it.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on the vaccine! My husband got his flu vaccine today…I should have while I was in the area, but I didn’t. Maybe next week. Then I have to decide, which one…flu or Covid? I don’t fancy the idea of getting both at once.
Thanks for the reminder. I need to get a Covid shot; my pharmacy has them but I got one under 6 months ago. Like you, I would pay for it if I had to, but would be VERY grouchy about that!
ReplyDeleteGood on you, and the vaccine provider, and the insurance, for getting you your covid vaccine. It's distressing to see that some people won't be able to get the vaccine. A huge unforced error in the health field. I got my covid and flu vaccine at the same time earlier this month. Felt achy and run down for 1 1/2 days. Last year I didn't get them at the same time and it took forever for me to get the second one scheduled.
