Even small things that make me feel more organized should be celebrated, don't you think? Well, I do, and it's my blog! This is not a big thing, but it's pleasing me.
I have tried different pill organizers for trips over the years, and have found them to be less than helpful in various ways: inflexible, awkward to load, break too easily, that kind of thing. Recently, with a trip coming up, I was thinking about it again, and thinking that I would also like a system that works for me for the everyday: I take a lot of pills, between prescriptions and vitamins, and it would be nice to fill a container weekly instead of doing it every day. So I did a little poking around online, and this is what I ended up getting:
It will not surprise you to learn that the rainbow colors are what first caught my eye! But the second thing was that each container has three sections:I take pills in the morning, in the evening, and a few in the night (when I wake up to go to the bathroom*), and most systems I saw seem to have two slots, morning and evening (or four, or one). Three is just right for me.
*One of the pills I take is an annoying, "take x hours after/x hours before eating," and I will be damned if I will keep track of that shit every day. Middle of the night it is.
Of course it is very early to be judging durability, but these do feel good in the hand, not flimsy. They seal well individually, and also fit into the holder and don't pop out. Not that I will probably use the holder, but who knows, I guess, I could change my mind on that.
So, here's to celebrating small victories! Feel free to share your own.
That's a very cool pill container. So far, I only have my 5 mm blood pressure to take in the morning. Hoping that continues!
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed for you!
DeleteThat's way prettier than anything I've found. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteOh, that’s nice! I also take a pill in the middle of the night. Ridiculous way to live one’s life, but here we are.
ReplyDeleteI’ve been working on decluttering / organizing too. One thing a day has to leave my house, for the second half of 2025. It’s been pretty great so far.
Your decluttering has been inspiring! I remind myself that each single thing that goes helps, even if it's small.
