As I mentioned yesterday, I'm trying to walk a little every day, at least in October, and I did go for a walk tonight. Not as late as last night, at 7 instead of 9, and while the sun was mostly down, it was still a bit on the warm side.
The moon was of course less impressive without the contrasting dark sky.
But we got sunset skies! When I walked last night, it was after my mother was in bed, but tonight she was still up, and when I said I was going, she reminded me that I could call her if I needed her.
Next week, I turn 57 years old. For several decades, I lived alone, and talked to her perhaps once a week. Now she is concerned that I will need her during a 15-minute walk. Okay then.
Beautiful sights! I love having my daughters and grandsons close, but I worry much more about them now than I did when they were far away. Sometimes ignorance is bliss!
ReplyDeleteOkay, that interaction with your mom is priceless. Heartwarming AND hilarious.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures!
You have a fish in the sky, with a gorgeous frilly long tail.
ReplyDeleteLove the comment from your mom. It's such a universal instinct--my daughter who's visiting rolled her eyes gently last night at me when I asked if she wanted me to come with her when she drops the car off at the mechanic, which she did this morning. She's 39.
My mom does the same thing!
