I hope they're not saying that deux is pronounced like those others. Far from it. Perhaps the whole thing sailed over my head. (wouldn't doubt it)

DeleteAlso, here are words that I say the same. Caught/cot, merry/Mary, and dawn/don. My husband says they're pronounced differently, but not in my accent, I guess!
I mean, I wouldn't pronounce deux the same was as the others, but that's from years of French lessons. I can't even explain how it sounds different, but it does!
